1. the highest point in the development of something; a climax or culmination.

2. related to astronomy, the point in the orbit of the moon or a satellite at which it is furthest from the earth.

Apogee Flow Toys was founded by Betty Hoop (Liz Arruda) in 2015, focusing on creating hula hoops and building our inventory to offer a wide variety of high quality products. Based out of New England, we have had the opportunity to participate in a variety of events ranging from music festivals, flow festivals, state events, as well as local farmers markets and craft fairs on a smaller scale. In 2018 we started our workshop series to both engage with our local flow arts community and introduce new faces to a new hobby.

Our goal is to expand our selection to carry something for every flow artist and become the one stop prop shop.

ABout Betty Hoop

Liz Arruda (Betty Hoop) is a hula-hoop dancer currently residing in Rhode Island. Although Betty only began her hoop journey in May of 2014, she has progressed quickly in the areas of single and multi-hooping, and has taken interest in a variety of other circus skills and flow arts. In January of 2015, Betty opened up an Etsy shop and Facebook page to create and sell hoops for her continuously expanding shop, Apogee Flow Toys. In 2016 Betty started teaching hoop classes in a studio setting and has expanded to hosting her own workshops and teaching at local spin jams. Since then she has traveled over New England vending, performing and attending various events to share her love for flow arts and all things hoop related.
