Taryn

Taryn, who also goes by Waffles, is a character actor and circus performer out of Metro-Detroit, MI. From being Rudolph in her preschool's performance of "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" to now a variety of events throughout Michigan each year, she has fostered a love of being on-stage, is dedicated to learning each new skill needed, and shares her playful spirit with everyone around.
Her first real hoop experience was in 2012; before that, she had been deeply involved in her school's theatre and colourguard. Since then,Taryn has expanded to other flow art props; her favourites are currently staff(s) & levi-wand. First entering this world as a photographer, she found she loved performing as much as she loved capturing performances.

As a character actor, she has graced the forest floor for Electric Forest Festival since 2017, and the halls of the Masonic Temple for Theatre Bizarre. Taryn is highly passionate in the world of fire performing, and is deeply involved the flow community. Currently, she is an organizer for both Great Lakes Flow, and Equilibrium Arts Event, Michigan's & Kansas' flow art retreats. Bringing smiles and moments of child-like play to every interaction, she knows the importance of pretend in this world, and wants to share the fun with anyone who's willing to play.
